Everyone has now had help with artist/genre research and video analysis. You can now work on pitches -
Dan's group - have one interesting idea from Dan about the funeral of an isolated student leading to a flashback with a narrative revolving around different aspects of his isolation - it would be interesting to create a non-chronological narrative in which we cut from groups that ignored him showing remorse in the present or even showing them facing their own levels of loneliness and isolation in the present day to suggest that their ideal lives that the protagonist yearned for never really existed. Niall and Matt need to help with this.
Finlegh and Gianluca's ideas are a little basic and far too similar to the original Arctic Monkeys video. You need to work on finding a stimulating metaphorical/ amplification of the lyrics. I'd suggest going with the new concept we discussed. That of demonstrating that the star status achieved by the singer has isolated him from reality and distanced him from his partner as he is dragged into a more superficial world - as in the video I showed you (This Train).
Luca/Jack/William/Deji don't seem to have an idea. The points raised (kicking a can) seem bland and too literal. I'm also not impressed that William (for whom absence is a problem) is supposedly the one with the ideas. The rest of the group will be downgraded for their planning grade if they don't offer a clear creative contribution at all stages of planning.
Harry and Zack seem to have some interesting ideas for green screen - although it will require time to get it right - particularly with the lighting. Don't worry about a demonstrative performance style - this will be fine as long as you take attention from performance with camerawork, editing, lighting and the green screen images. The separate sections of narrative will need to be very carefully worked out.
Paolo/ William/ Bradley/ need to show me their pitches tomorrow, as do Callum and Matt
